About Us

Payyavoor Community Development Project (P.C.D.P), a leading non-government organization, is an initiative of Caritas Secular Institute, a congregation of sisters under the Episcopal jurisdiction of Arch Diocese of Kottayam. Established in 1986, the organization has been registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. Over the years P.C.D.P has been engaged in nation building process through the sustainable development and uplift of the marginalized people including women, children, elders, farmers, poor, tribal and the underprivileged irrespective of their cast, creed and religion.

PCDP has been involved in community development, skill development of women, livelihood and income generation, agricultural development, environmental protection, counseling, promotion of people’s banking, and other social welfare services with the financial assistance from both national and international funding partners.
