Counseling and Learning Disability Centre

PCDP offers counseling services to the needy from in and around Payyavoor. The counseling services include family counseling, marriage counseling, youth counseling, adolescent counseling and student counseling. Besides the face to face counseling PCDP is engaged in tele counseling as well.

PCDP runs a Learning Disability Centre to help the children and their parents with learning problems and other disabilities like autism, mentally challenged, ADHD etc. Children with learning and other disabilities often lack the ability to understand or use spoken or written languages, do mathematical calculations, coordinate movements, or direct attention depending on the severity of the disorder. The learning disability centre at PCDP aims at enhancing the quality of life of children with learning and other disabilities and enabling the environment for their personal, educational and social well being. PCDP conducts learning disability detection camps in schools, colleges, clubs and Panchayath offices to disseminate awareness on learning disability and other disabilities and identify children with these disorders. The identified children and their parents are given special trainings by specially trained educators and professionally qualified psychologists.
