The wild spread of the pandemic Covid – 19 all over the world and the lockdowns that followed have put the whole world into a standstill and made the life of the people, particularly the economically low income families, miserable. Many people fell sick, lost their lives, lost dear ones, either lost or had to give up jobs for safety and lost their only income sources. The pandemic put many families into starvation and left with no money to buy medicines to protect themselves. Government agencies are fighting hard day and night to deal with the pandemic and assist the needy people. PCDP also joints hands with the government agencies in its efforts to provide relief to the most affected people. PCDP provided relief kits and medical equipments to the people from low income background. The kits included food materials and medicines. Financial assistance was also provided to the neediest people.

PCDP joints hands with the local government in Covid 19 relief works. PCDP is part of Payyavoor Gram Panchayath Counseling Cell to provide counseling services to people affected by Covid – 19.
